About Joseph NelsonJoseph Nelson founded Stewardship Investments in 2007 with a strong desire to come alongside people to help them invest wisely. His desire is to assist people with Comprehensive Financial Planning so that all aspects of their finances will be aligned with a biblical foundation. It is Joseph’s passion that each client feels joyfully confident on their financial journey. Proverbs 21:5 states, “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
He helps clients define and prioritize their goals and dreams and develop individually-tailored strategies to achieve them. By examining cash flows, educational needs, retirement expectations, estate planning concerns, and risk exposures, Joseph delivers Comprehensive Financial Planning solutions. These solutions include asset allocation modeling and investment and insurance strategies consistent with clients’ time horizons, risk tolerances, and overall financial objectives. Asset allocation does not ensure a profit or guarantee against loss, it is a method used to help manage risk. Joseph worked for eight years with a Bible translation mission spending most of that time in Kenya, Africa managing project funds. Here he saw firsthand the impact financial resources can have when used strategically for the kingdom. He serves on the missions committee at Grace Chapel, where he is also active Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University classes. Joseph enjoys photography, running and reading. He is a resident of Northern Minnesota along with his wife, Carol, and three children: Abigail, Caleb and Gracie. About Matthew Myrick
Matt believes in biblical stewardship and feels that Psalm 24:1 (NIV) The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; perfectly illustrates how believers should understand their money and is a key foundation to helping his clients achieve their goals. Matt’s greatest desire for a client of Stewardship Investments is to see them reach their goals by coming along side them with the heart of a teacher and friend. He thrives on relationships and feels that true fellowship does not exist without genuine relationships.
Matt enjoys involvement with his church softball team as well as hunting, fishing, and hiking. Matt also coaches Cross Country for Oak Hills Christian College. He has been married to his wife and best friend, Shelbi for the past 4 years. They have a dog, Daisy who is referred to as a "cute little monster."
